Born and raised in upstate New York, Becky's passion for art has been constant ever since she can remember. Her love of painting led her to a formal study of art at Brigham Young University- Idaho where she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Art degree. She has continued her art education with workshops with Mike Malm, Suchitra Bhosle, and Scott Christensen.

When I was in an art history class, I saw the painting "The Broken Pitcher" by William Bouguereau. The combination of the human figure and the landscape, along with the beautiful harmony of color was so moving to me. I knew that was the direction I wanted to take with my paintings and it has been my inspiration ever since.

In my latest paintings, what I feel is my best work comes from things that I love and enjoy to begin with. Paintings of my family, friends I know well, my garden, nature, these are all things I really feel deeply about before the brush hits the canvas.

It is my hope that my paintings will draw an emotional response from the viewer and point them to the Divine Maker who created all the beauty around us. I love to bring attention to our natural surroundings which can bring out feelings of such joy and peace.

Becky currently resides in northwest Arkansas, with her husband Cameron, and their four children.
